Installation verification

Purpose

KEA verifies construction and operation of new and renewable energy facilities installed by the government’s programs in order to promote safe and reliable facilities.

Legal basis
  • The article 20 of the Regulation on the Support for New and Renewable Energy Facilities (MOITE notification 2014-56)
Facilities subject to the verification
  • New and renewable energy facilities that are installed by the Support for New and Renewable Energy Facilities
    Facilities installed by the home subsidy, the building subsidy (including pilot projects), the renewable obligation system, the regional subsidy and the support program for combined new and renewable energy
Verification criteria
Criteria for the companies to be reported as new and renewable energy companies
Category Criteria
General
General matters regarding owners and constructors
- Name, address, contact information, generating capacity, address of installation
Construction
Construction status
- Refer to installation verification on-site checklist (attachment no.6)
Main facilities
Verify if the products that have priority in usage were used
- Facility specifications (country of manufacturing, model name, capacity)
Verify if the main equipment and generating capacity fits the description in the submitted business plan
Warranty
Appropriateness of warranty
- Refer to warranty period in the additional table
* If the constructor is a subcontractor, the warranty of original contractor is verified
Operation
Proper operation of the facility
- Operation of system, monitoring system, control and safety system
Boring of
geothermal
facility
Boring check
- Number of total bore holes
- Depth of the bore holes
Submission of reports on geothermal boring of the attachment no.27 that are prepared by a responsible supervisor prescribed in Construction Technology Act and an on-site construction supervisor or by the owner of the house or the supervising company in case of housing development subsidy projects is deemed to be a verification on the borings.
However, the reports must include photos and other evidence materials so that the depth of the bores can be checked
Others, Items
already verified
during construction
The facilities already underwent inspection and verification prescribed in the article 63 and 66 of the Electric Utility Act do not need to undergo verification in terms of the overlapping items of the on-site check list.
