Integrated Energy Supply

Purpose

This program was developed to promote integrated energy system for an active response to framework convention on climate change. This will to save energy and help improve quality of life of the citizen.

History

  • The first district heating system running on cogeneration system (20MW) and waste heat from waste incinerator was introduced in Mokdong in Seoul in 1985
  • The district heating system developed rapidly in line with the government’s plan to promote the integrated energy and development of new towns in the capital area. The system is now being adopted in cities outside the capital area.
Details
Definition
