Standardization of Facilities

Purpose
  • As a co-operating Organization of Standards Development (COSD)*, KEA works for standardization of technologies on production, testing and construction of new and renewable energy. KEA develops national standards (Korean Industrial Standards, KS) and adopt international standards such as IEC and ISO to standardize technologies. KEA also supports international standardization of Korean technology to get first-mover advantage in the international market and help companies to come up with effective responsive measures to issues on setting international standards.
co-operating Organization of Standards Development (COSD): Korean Agency for Technology Standards (KATS) delegated its standard developing work to private agencies. COSDs are the authorized institution to develop and amend standards in their specialized field of technology.
