Energy Audit Assistance

Purpose

KEA supports SMEs that have less means to save energy and reduce GHG by subsidizing energy audit cost. This is to strengthen competitiveness of SMEs and to improve national energy efficiency.

  • Feb. ’07
    Implement the mandatory energy audit system and support 70% of audit cost for SMEs (companies that emit GHG less than 2,000~5000 toe)
  • Jan. ’09
    Increase the audit cost support rate from 70% to 90%
  • Jan. ’10
    Expand the scope of the SMEs eligible for this program from companies with energy consumption 2,000 ~ 5,000 toe to those with energy consumption 2,000 ~ 10,000 toe
    Support audit cost for the companies with energy consumption less than 2,000 toe (Assisted conducting voluntary energy audit
  • Jan. ’11
    Expand the scope of the SMEs eligible for the voluntary energy audit from companies with energy consumption less than 2,000 toe to those with energy consumption 500~2,000 toe
  • Jan. ’12
    Lowered the audit cost support rate from 90% to 70%
  • Jan. ’14
    End the assistance for the voluntary energy audit

Eligibility

SMEs prescribed in the article 2 of the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises, with an energy consumption between 2,000toe to 10,000 toe are eligible for the program.
